Educational Scholarships
Regardless of the efforts of the government and organizations, not everyone can be reached at the same time and that is why Abanjoh Youth Empowerment Foundation (AYEF) will not relent efforts in making sure every child has access to education. No matter the small number we reach yearly we would not back down until we can reach 1000 young girls and boys before 2035.
Creating a sustainable environment for every child to thrive is at the heart of AYEF's humanitarian mission. We believe that education is a powerful tool that shapes individuals' thoughts and actions, enabling them to harness their God-given potential and meet the needs of their communities.
This year, as part of our #BACKTOSCHOOL program, we organized a two-day capacity-strengthening workshop for underprivileged children and adolescents in preparation for schools resumption.
During the workshop, we build the skill participants on:
- Prevention of sexual abuse
- The rights and responsibilities of children towards their nation, family, and community
- The effects of peer pressure on students
- Building a conflict-free environment among peers
Through this program, we reached out to about 60 boys and girls (aged 4 to 16 years old) with the knowledge to navigate their school year, learning materials, and school fees for some and ensured that every Adolescent girl has a sanitary kit for the start of this school year. The beneficiaries of the initiative were particularly IDP children within Bonaberi- Rail and the South West toll gate
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Bih Moki-Suh for partnering with AYEF to make a meaningful impact in the lives of these children. The smiles on their faces inspired us to keep empowering the vulnerable.
Together, we can ensure #QualityEducationForAll!
