MHM in Douala 5

Healthy Life, Healthy Choices (Douala, 2026 )

Period poverty should never stand in the way of a girl's education. Menstruation is part of a girls growth and not a source of discrimination or shame.
We had an enlightening session with 65 brilliant, ambitious young adolescent girls within the Douala 5 community. Amongst these girls 15 were IDPs and 10 were differently Abled. We educated these Adolescent girls on safe menstrual health practices, handling peer pressure, self growth and managing body changes.
But we didn't just stop at these insightful conversations, we also directly supported them by distributing menstrual hygiene kits consisting of bucket, soap, detergents, pants and pad. These young girls went home with smiles on their faces.
We are grateful to our phenomenal team whose hard work made this outreach a success and to our Executive Director Solomon Atamaya for his kindness and heart warming generosity to humanity. Special thanks to our facilitator Mrs. Kah Letissia for her excellent presentation. We also thank Mr Atezo Anointed of SUCCESS EVENING SCHOOL located at Rail, for his support in mobilisation. We all worked Together, for a Period friendly World
